Swimming Pool Musical Garden, Community Gathering Space, and Recreation Areas
Client: Fernley Community
Project Size: 5 Acres
Timeline: Phase 1 projected completion in 2025
Objective + Project Overview
FireSky has been contracted to reimagine the exterior spaces to enhance their function as a community gathering area.
The Fernley Rotary Club is also contributing by donating outdoor musical instruments for integration into a musical garden. Inspired by both the musical garden and the swimming pool, the design should incorporate these themes into the layout and elements.
Creativity and Interconnection
Fire Sky is most well known for their approach to placing the design team at the center of every project. The company is presently in the design phase of the park, primarily leveraging community feedback as the guide for the design. Currently, the project is in Phase One, with three more anticipated phases. Phase one will focus on the musical garden and gathering spaces.
The visual concept for the space blends two themes: the swimming pool and musical garden, donated by the Rotary Club. The project's ultimate goal is to provide a place for residents to feel they belong to a more extensive community they can connect with.
A Shared Place For Unique Experiences
The redesigned park is expected to provide a multi-functional space for public and social events as well as family gatherings - allowing for artistic expression from the community. The result will create a lovely layout that uses outdoor musical instruments and water features.
Once complete, the park will serve as the community's cultural fabric, promoting social engagement and making all feel involved and connected.
